Bringing technology together in Edinburgh with a broad, pick-your-own adventure style and a mixture of cross-discipline talks and hands-on workshops. A unique format with something for everyone.
We want to be encouraging collaboration, conversation and enthusiasm across all the various disciplines in the technology area. We can't really do that by just shoehorning hundreds of people into a room and making them listen to a (albeit fantastic) speaker.
No, we need to have a conversation, a dialogue, heck, we need to have fun. This is why Converge will actually have two tracks - a speaker / discussion track and a workshop / hacking / making track. We believe this this unique, certainly to Scotland and we hope that you'd enjoy being part of this experiment.
Think of it a bit like a 'choose your own adventure' conference - there will be great speakers giving fantastic talks, but there will also be workshops and panel discussions happening. If you don't fancy a particular talk, you can take part in a workshop, none of the workshops take your fancy? Go see a talk or even start your own.

So where's the conference
Glad you asked! Converge will be taking place in Summerhall and TechCube in Edinburgh. This is the former Royal (Dick) Vetinary College and is the perfect venue, now being the heart of Edinburgh's tech startup and arts communities.
